Course Description

Introduction
The organisations of today have complex infrastructure and technology-based projects which bring about significant social, environmental and economic impacts. As such, these organisations need the skills to manage multiple projects to achieve organisational goals; they need to understand the context of projects and follow a clear project model.

Project management was initially developed as a structured and codified management system in the defense and construction industries, but is heavily used to manage complex projects in the information technology sector. Other industries are also realising the benefits of project management as a general management framework, which include scope definition, time and cost management, quality planning, risk assessment, internal and external communication, and human resource management.

If you (or your organisation) need to achieve ambitious business objectives that require complex and technology-based initiatives, the Master of Project Management is right for you. This program, offered by The University of Adelaide (delivered through the Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre), provides you with the competencies needed to manage the intricate, often complex path leading from strategic vision to business reality.
