Introduction
The last few years have seen a period of turbulence and change rocking the world's financial markets, and especially so for Singapore with its current efforts to liberalise the financial sector to become a major financial centre for Asia.

This has placed a great premium on skilled financial talent, equipped with analytical ability, flexibility and creative problem-solving techniques. Globalisation, information and communication technology are also transforming the financial sector. With rapid consolidation amongst financial intermediaries, competition is becoming more acute and professional standards are rising rapidly.

The Master of Applied Finance from The University of Adelaide, offered at the Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre, is an investment in the ability of individuals and organisations to manage change and uncertainty in the financial world.

The Master of Applied Finance equips students with the adaptability and skills to respond to the changes and challenges that they will face in their careers, based on the knowledge of the most recent advances in finance. Building on the long-established reputation of The University of Adelaide for excellence in economics and finance, and Ngee Ann Kongsi's premier standing as one of the major sponsors of education in Singapore, the Master of Applied Finance will come to be regarded as a pre-eminent qualification for finance professionals in the region.
