Third Tuesdays
Topic: The Psychology of Healthy Aging
Australia and Singapore share the challenge of dealing with rapidly ageing populations. The health care industry in these countries is dealing with this issue in many different ways, for example, by implementing new funding arrangements and models of care. Professor Turnbull will present a series of studies from the University of Adelaide as well as recent international findings examining the issue of healthy ageing from a psychological perspective. She will describe psychology and how it is practiced in Australia, and will demonstrate how psychological research can provide some answers to the question about how we can lead healthier, happier and perhaps even longer lives.
